All recipients are asked to perform an act of kindness and let us or their sponsoring non-profit know what kindness was performed. Not all are reported to us, but we want to share with you those that are. Below are a few of those stories of kindness and more. "Thank you for my glasses! I can see a lot better! School is a lot easier with them. I don't get as many headaches. Thank you again for caring enough to help me." ~ Child of AWW Grant Recipient referred by Boulder Shelter for the Homeless "Please accept our sincere appreciation to the Woman's Work Fund for your recent grant toward childcare assistance for this family. This grant makes a positive impact on a family who has experienced a significant tragedy over the past month and helps provide stability for their children." ~ Ed & Ruth Lehman YMCA "I was recently a recipient of a donation made by your organization. I am truly grateful for your help. I never dreamed that I would find myself in a situation where I had lost everything and was in need of financial help. No woman does. After a long series of personal tragedies, I was diagnosed with a fatal medical condition. With no medical insurance, I was blessed to be accepted by a very reputable research hospital as a charity case, in order to save my life. I was told that my recovery would be several months. With no savings, I didn't know how I was going to manage. I felt so defeated and all alone. One of my friends contacted LifeBridge Christian Church, which is works with A Woman's Work. Within a week of that initial contact, my LifeBridge contact informed me that I had been approved for help, and I was ecstatic when I found out A Woman's Work would pay my rent while I was in the hospital. I can't tell you what a relief I felt. After I recover, I would love to donate my time to AWW in any way that I can. God Bless each of you, and from the bottom of my heart, Thank you!" ~ AWW Grant Recipient referred by LifeBridge Christian Church "Thank you so much for your kind and generous gift to fix my car. Your organization is absolutely amazing and I am so grateful to you. My car is running wonderfully, and I just got a new full time job. Thank you, thank you!" ~ AWW Grant Recipient "Thank you for the generous grant from A Woman's Work, which will greatly assist our client in obtaining bus passes as she completes her education." ~ Boulder Shelter for the Homeless "To all at A Woman's Work, God bless you and may peace and love continue to be always around you for making a difference." ~ AWW Grant Recipient
