It is through the experiences of others that we can help to express how we help women in our community. Below are just a few of those experiences that have been shared.
“I start my prayers each morning thanking God for A Woman’s Work. I was able to travel to see my brother before he died because A Woman’s Work helped me. There was no one else out there who would help this way. You are angels, my angels.” (70 year old woman) “I know A Woman’s Work is for women and my wife wrote a letter to thank you, but I want you to know from a man how much I appreciate that you kept us in our home. Without your help this family would have been homeless. You do good.” (husband of a recipient) "Thank you for the financial assistance that allowed me to get my dental work for periodontal disease. I have mitral valve prolapse too, so infections in my gums are especially dangerous because my heart can become infected. That is very serious and can be fatal. Thanks to you, I was kept safe." ~ AWW Grant Recipient “I have no words, I am amazed that there is such a thing as A Woman’s Work to help me get into a house when everything around me seems to be going wrong. I have given to my community all my life and now here my community is giving to me.” (single mother) |
