On the Move at Whimsy Paint and Sip

Whimsy Paint and Sip Art Studio, Erie“On The Move” March 7 Whimsy Paint and Sip Art Studio, Erie

Imagine yourself in Paris and it’s a “Starry Night.”   That’s exactly how you will feel when you join your friends on March 7 at Whimsy Paint and Sip for a new trendy and fun night out.    What’s Whimsy??  At Whimsy Paint and Sip, unlike any other art studio, your wine is served in a glass, your stool is padded, and the relaxing music comes from great speakers while you paint with the same high quality paints that Disneyland uses for their fabulous murals.

Whimsy is the one-year-old brainchild of Raye Harris, a 25-year portrait photographer, and her daughter Jess.  “After visiting a number of paint and sip art studios, we knew the concept would take off in the right venue.   So when fabulous space became available in the same building as my portrait studio, we jumped at the chance,” said Raye.

You’re not an artist?   Don’t worry.  You don’t need any art experience to enjoy painting at Whimsy.  A professional artist guides the group step-by-step through the process of painting on canvas to create your very own “Starry Night.”  Everything is provided: canvas, paints, brushes, easels and aprons.  No previous art experience is necessary.  At the end of the night, you'll take home your own personal masterpiece that you created, yourself!
